The PGA TOUR is shaking things up with a bold leadership move!
But here's the twist: it's not just about filling vacant positions. It's about strategic additions to their senior team, bringing specialized skills to the table. And the timing couldn't be more crucial.
PGA TOUR CEO Brian Rolapp has announced the appointment of Dhruv Prasad as Chief Commercial Officer and Paul Hicks as Executive Vice President, Strategic Communications and Public Policy. These hires are part of a broader strategy to enhance the organization's capabilities and deliver more value to its stakeholders.
Dhruv Prasad: A seasoned entrepreneur and executive, Prasad brings over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, including sports, live events, broadcasting, digital media, and music. He joins the TOUR from the NFL, where he oversaw media partnerships and investments. Previously, he led Music Reports Inc. and co-founded Townsquare Media, showcasing his diverse expertise.
Paul Hicks: With a strong background in strategic communications and public relations, Hicks has spent the last decade as a partner at FGS Global, a top stakeholder strategy firm. He also held a senior role at the NFL, leading communications and public affairs. Hicks' expertise will be pivotal in shaping the TOUR's public image and policy approach.
And here's where it gets interesting: Andy Weitz, the current Chief Marketing Officer, will take on an expanded role, leading content creation, production, and technology to boost fan engagement. Neera Shetty, Chief Legal Officer, will also step up, taking on interim oversight of administrative functions, including talent management and community engagement.
These changes come as the TOUR bids farewell to two long-serving leaders, Allison Keller and Rick Anderson, who are retiring. Len Brown is also transitioning to a new advisory role.
